Traveling Gone Wrong
Headline: In a Good-Will Gesture, South Korea Returns Stranded Fishermen to the North
Good-will for who? I can just see these sad sacks kicking and screaming as they're being taken to the North Korean border. Then, once in view of North Korean officials, they have to feign happiness for being back.
Coming Soon: Cook Out
There's plenty of activity at the former Burger King in Kill Devil Hills. On July 2 I saw several plumber vans and it looks like the exterior has been modified.
Reported by Sam Walker over a year ago it seems Cook Out is finally coming to the Outer Banks.
It's also posted on the company's website, making it official.

Travels: Wintergreen Resort
The July 4th weekend had me going to the Wintergreen Resort for a change of scenery. First, the temperature was amazing. I love living at the beach but the heat and humidity, so far this year, have been pushing my limits. Wintergreen was in the low 80's with low humidity.
Second, I hadn't been there in 30 years and that was to go snowboarding. Since then there has been significant growth of micro-breweries (Devil's Backbone, Three Notched, etc.). These are located at the foot of the mountains in Nellysford and they have created a very cool, rural environment for sitting outside and having a beverage.
Third, this resort has turned in to a weekend destination for Virginians and Marylanders (I can tell by the license plates). The resort has racquet sports, golf, swimming, and hiking. In addition, the Appalachian Trail runs directly through the property, providing great views (see photo, above).
